For me, adolescence was also traumatic. Mostly for other reasons though. I wouldn't want to go back to that age, even if they paid me for it. Thanks for sharing!

thank you for writing this Chiara! honest and unapologetic, and one i can identify with in many ways sadly. the way girlhood is sold today is commodified as you rightfully note, but those moments of disconnect and sneakiness (from those boys especially), i think that's what makes girlhood such an universal experience!
